#307 Clicking @hivemq/honeycomb extension card on /extensions shows 'Something went wrong'

Opened by bixu · 5/10/2026

Description

On https://swamp.club/extensions, searching for "honeycomb" returns the @hivemq/honeycomb card in the results. Clicking the card (which should navigate to the extension's detail page) renders a generic "Something went wrong" / "An error occurred" page instead of the extension detail view.

The neighboring @bixu/honeycomb card on the same results page is not confirmed to be affected — only @hivemq/honeycomb was tested.

Steps to reproduce

  1. Open https://swamp.club/extensions?q=honeycomb in a browser.
  2. Click the @hivemq/honeycomb extension card in the results.
  3. Observe the generic error page instead of the extension detail page.

Expected

The extension detail page for @hivemq/honeycomb renders, showing the description, latest version, platforms, labels, and model list — same shape as any other extension detail view.

Actual

A generic error page is displayed ("Something went wrong" / "An error occurred"). No specific error text or status code surfaced in the UI.

Registry state (sanity check)

The extension is published and discoverable via the CLI:

  • Name: @hivemq/honeycomb
  • Latest version at time of report: 2026.05.08.45
  • Description: "Manage Honeycomb SLOs and SLI derived columns via the v1 Configuration API"
  • Content types: models
  • Platforms: darwin-aarch64, darwin-x86_64, linux-x86_64, linux-aarch64

So the registry has the extension; the failure appears to be in the extension-detail page render on swamp.club, not in publication.

Asks

  • Server-side log / stack trace from the request that produced the error page, to identify whether this is a data shape issue specific to @hivemq/honeycomb or a generic detail-page regression.
  • Confirmation whether the same click path works for other extensions (e.g. @bixu/honeycomb, @hivemq/jenkins).
